The name (Bistro in the Grass) says it all. On Saturdays and Sundays, they serve a breakfast picnic on a blanket right on the grass—perhaps with fluffy ricotta doughnuts. Surrounded by fields, orchards and vineyards, children play on the playground while parents relax with a glass in hand. An ideal spot for the whole family and travellers exploring the Velké Pavlovice region.
Bistro V Trávě
This place was just waiting for a concept like this. Great that someone brought the idea to life so perfectly. Resting in the shade is a treat not just for cyclists—and the excellent local delights, from pâtés to fresh bread, make it even better.

Tips for nearby activities
For a small trip, the chapel Hradištěk, surrounded by vineyards.
For a larger trip, for example, a Templar fortress and a labyrinth of cellars in Čejkovice. Or drive to the fairy-tale castle of Lednice. Even if you do not take a guided tour, you can take a shorter tour of the chateau greenhouse, Janohrad (John’s Castle) or the minaret, which also offers a view of the charming surroundings. And if you’re tired, take a boat on the chateau canals and watch the kingfisher out fishing.
