Tips for nearby activities
The famous Napoleon also slept in the Vyškov chateau. In today’s museum you will also see the local folk pottery (faience), which is renowned among collectors. You can walk through the castle park to the Zoo Park. This is no huge, overwhelming zoo but rather a relaxed park with an unconventional selection of fauna, from where trackless trains run through the town to DinoPark. For science and technology, we recommend the observatory and the Museum of Aviation and Ground Engineering.
On the way home, pass through the Napoleonic chateau of Slavkov or through Bučovice. You won’t find a similar Renaissance gem north of the Alps!
